The Bureau of Energy, Ministry of Economic Affairs, has been recognizing service industries that voluntarily promote energy conservation since 2016 by holding the "Energy Saving Vanguard for a Sustainable Future – Service Industry Energy Conservation Joint Results Presentation." This year, Taishin Financial Holding was awarded the "Voluntary Energy Conservation Outstanding Performance Award" by the Bureau of Energy for achieving energy-saving targets for three consecutive years.

Liang Fuhui, Deputy General Manager of the Administrative Services Department of Taishin Bank, who accepted the award on behalf of the company, stated that Taishin Financial Holding has been continuously promoting various management measures over the years. Through operational mechanisms, the company actively implements energy conservation and improves energy efficiency. In the process, it also enhances employees' environmental awareness through project execution, encouraging all employees to practice energy saving. To mitigate risks posed by climate change, Taishin Financial Holding is committed to doing its part. In addition to actively following relevant regulations, it strongly supports the government's green energy policies, including the installation of solar power systems at its own buildings. It also participated in the Bureau of Standards, Metrology, and inspection’s domestic renewable energy certificate system, becoming one of the first companies to purchase renewable energy certificates. Additionally, the company issued green financial bonds.

To promote corporate sustainability, Liang Fuhui explained that Taishin Financial Holding continues to participate in various international initiatives, including the introduction of the CDP Carbon Disclosure Project, ISO 50001 Energy Management System, ISO 14001 Environmental Management System, and ISO 14064-1 Greenhouse Gas Inventory System certifications. Earlier this year, the company signed the TCFD (Task Force on Climate-related Financial Disclosures) support statement. It also recently signed the Equator Principles and joined the Equator Principles Association, becoming a member of the Equator Bank group.

Liang emphasized that Taishin Financial Holding is using its influence to promote environmental protection and give back to society. Its subsidiary, Taishin Bank, has partnered with Taiwan's first B Corporation, "DOMI" to promote green energy and environmental protection projects. The projects encourage credit cardholders to switch from paper bills to digital ones and call on customers to help disadvantaged families replace their light bulbs with energy-saving ones. Within a year, over 200,000 cardholders responded, and more than 100 households across Taiwan received the installation of energy-saving bulbs. The project's achievements were recognized with an award from the Bureau of Small and Medium Enterprises, Ministry of Economic Affairs. Taishin Financial Holding will continue to take practical actions to promote energy conservation and contribute to environmental sustainability.
